The price of the units is $1,500 and be will rolled out in Los Angeles this week.
People can start booking appointments as early as this Thursday (6th June).
A select few people who signed up for Glass at I/O 2012 have been seen showing off their units in public having already received them from the company.
However, it’s expected that a few thousand participants who were accepted on Google+ and Twitter will be receiving their units as early as this coming week.
This is the very first time that Google Glass is to be rolled out to users in bulk which is breaking ground for the company.
Each participant will get an individual appointment in order to custom fit their units, these resemble normal glasses and need to be fitted to individual’s facial features.
Participants will receive “hands on” instructions on how to use their units too, and will be directed to a campus on Venice Beach for their appointments for fittings and instructions.
Participants in New York and San Francisco will be able to pick up their units at local addresses which are to be advised.
